Indecent Dressing Is Not The Major Cause Of Rape [REASONS]

The issue of rape in Nigeria has been so alarming which has increased fear especially to females. 

They have been several bad news concerning rape which provoked Nigerians to go with the popular hashtag “SayNo2Rape”.

They were several investigations and suggestions made by the public regarding rape in the country.

Most Nigerians emphasized more on indecent dressing to be the cause of rape which is not really fare from my opinion and point of view.

Below Are Reasons Why Indecent Dressing Shouldn't Be Seen As The Major Cause Of Rape

1. Most victims of rape were said to have appeared in good clothes that covered their body properly but yet they fall prey to rapist. The most popular case of rape that led to reactions from the public in Nigeria was that of Uwa who was defiled and murdered right inside a Redeemed Christian Church of God. 

2. There was a reported case concerning babies been raped by adult and daughters been raped by their parents which ought not to occur. Normally parents are not supposed to have such evil feeling towards their own children. 

A topical example can was that of a 50-year-old man who defiled his 13-year-old daughter in Osun state.

3. Several persons confessed after being caught that they decided to commit such crime due to ritual purposes. They must have been instructed by some spiritual instructor to commit the crime due to a targeted desire.

4. Hard drugs and alcohol can also cause rape because once someone is affected with high influence of alcohol or drugs he may not be able to control himself and will only regret after committing the crime. 

5. Mental issue was also been reported as the source of rape because no mentally healthy man will on normal occasion suddenly decide to rape someone especially children without having a rethink on the societal law and Punishment that may follow if caught.

My Opinion: Let's try out possible best to avoid rape and give no chance for rapist than stating reasons to back up the evil act that has terminated life's in different regions.
