A very beautiful Nigerian lady has recently made a public statement true her Twitter handle that no one will ever pay her bride price again. Which has stirred up reactions on social media as many oppose and others propose regarding her statement.

The Nigerian lady is known as a feminist who normally contribute to building integrity of women.

She is identified as Aderonke Rene and made this statement on her Twitter yesterday been the 15th of June 2020.

“No one is paying my bride price ever again, that’s if I decide to get married tbh. If you pay mine I pay yours. Simple!” she tweeted.

According to her, bribe price is not supposed to be necessary and is therefore illegal.

She was urged to make this statement after a lady reported that her husband has vowed never to help his in-laws after he paid N580k as bride price.

My Opinion: Bride price is not bad or illegal but it shouldn't be seen like a priority because what keeps marriage isn't bride price but love and understanding.
