Ogun engineer allegedly defiled 16-year-old girl while mother went for prayer

It was recently reported that an engineer in Ogun state identified as Adewunmi Lawal allegedly raped a 16-year-old daughter in Itele, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

According to report from PUNCH it was gathered that the mother of the 16-year-old girl went for prayer in Badagry, Lagos State. It was said that she left her and her three siblings.

Two days while she was away from home the suspect identified as Adewunmi made a way into her house in the night and allegedly defiled her daughter who is just 16-year-old.

The victim of rape informed her mother who advised her to report the case to the human right so that proper investigations will be made and justice will be followed regarding the incident.

The incident was further reported to the Itele Police Station. Effort made to arrest the suspect became more complex after realizing that Adewunmi Lawal has gone to hide himself.

The mother of the victim who is a widow further explained that Adewunmi Lawal took advantage of her absence and allegedly defiled her daughter. She said the wife of the suspect begged her to rest the case going on as a result of the incident, but she refused accepting the appeal.
